Among a handful of Halal restaurants in Tokyo, there is one particular place that we frequent to visit from time to time: Panga. In Panga, you can find high quality Japanese beef, the premium A5 Wagyu. The best thing about it? It’s all Halal!

Having been around for more than 20 years, Panga is very popular among the muslim community and the locals as well. Besides its wagyu beef, Panga is well-known for its Korean side dishes and condiments such as Kimchi and Bibimbap. As they are using only muslim-friendly seasoning, you can try every item on the menu at ease!
Halal Wagyu at Yakiniku Panga
Address: 3 Chome-27-9 Taito, Taito City, Tokyo 110-0016 (Google Maps)
Though we have mentioned it before, we have to tell you again: it’s literally EVERYONE’s favorite! In Panga, you can try every cut of beef, such as short rib, brisket, and outside skirt. They also serve high quality of beef tongue (gyutan) and innards. Since the items are fresh, we recommend you to add them to your order!
For us, everything about Panga just hits the spot. Other than the Wagyu, it’s really the flavors that really charm us. Moreover, the ambience is really nice and welcoming. Just right for an evening out with family and loved ones!
Recommended Menu at Halal Yakiniku Panga
Here is a list of our favorite items in Panga, other than the Wagyu steak and platters:
- Thick cut beef tongue (上タン塩) or the Assorted beef tongue
- Premium short rib (上カルビ)
- Large intestine (トロホルモン)
- Wagyu Yukke
- Bibimbap, or
- Rice in Yukgaejang
Do note that the Grand Menu is only for dinner time. They have a special menu during lunch that changes occasionally. But you can confirm the latest menu on the Google Maps.
More About Panga
Since the lunch time (and options) is pretty limited, we suggest you to visit for dinner. Though, they also provide lunch set or bento to-go. If you happen to be around Asakusa or Ueno, don’t forget to drop by!
How to Get to Halal Yakiniku Panga
To get to Panga, you can take Tsukuba Express or Tokyo Metro to Shin-Okachimachi Station. The restaurant is 300 meters from the A2 Exit.
Side Note
To continue serving Halal, Panga has been applying a one drink policy. This means every customer has to order at least one beverage. It can be off-putting to some, but we think it’s still acceptable considering the dining experience we receive. 🙂
